Dr. Courtney Lewis, DVM

Meet the friendly staff at Compassion Veterinary Clinic!

Dr.
Courtney Lewis,
DVM
Veterinarian

Courtney Lewis graduated from Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2001. She worked and volunteered at the Tufts Wildlife clinic before and during her time at the school, where she gained a deep appreciation for the wildlife of New England. Following graduation, Dr. Lewis worked on the North Shore for 5 years at a small animal/exotic/wildlife practice.

When the opportunity arose to work as a relief veterinarian in New South Wales, Australia, she jumped at the chance to work with their companion animals for a while. She worked there for 4 months before returning to practice in Massachusetts. In addition to working as a small animal veterinarian, Dr. Lewis has worked with exotic animals at a local zoo. She joined the team at Compassion Veterinary Clinic in 2008 as a relief veterinarian, and has since become invaluable to both staff and clients.

Dr. Lewis has a keen interest in all types of dance and has taught Ballet, Tap, and Jazz. She is a member of the Society for Creative Anachronism which involves historical studies in the Medieval Renaissance time period. Dr. Lewis enjoys spending time with her family and currently has one cat, Chloe Mau. Since the passing of her beloved dog, she has not yet had the heart to adopt another, but enjoys walking, and playing with the dogs in her neighborhood.
